Why can X or SMS differ from the general character count?
Those platforms have their own weighting and encoding rules. General mode always shows visible characters; platform modes show their specific result.
Why am I warned about invisible characters?
We only flag isolated invisible characters that can affect copying, search or display. Normal emoji joiner sequences do not trigger a warning.
