FAQ

Color Picker FAQ

How do I pick a color from an image?

Drop, choose or paste an image, then click a visible pixel. The image is drawn to a local browser canvas and is not uploaded.

Can I pick a color anywhere on my screen?

Where the browser supports the secure EyeDropper API, use Pick from screen. Other browsers show a screenshot/image route instead.

Why is the screen eyedropper unavailable?

The EyeDropper API needs HTTPS and browser support. It is intentionally an optional enhancement, not the only way to use this tool.

Are uploaded images sent to a server?

No. This page reads the image only in your current browser to draw its canvas, sample pixels and find a small palette.

Is this affiliated with Google?

No. ToolkitLoop is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Google.
