Does this QR scanner open links automatically?
No. It shows the complete destination and local warning signs first. You choose whether to open a link.
Can I scan a screenshot, photo or image?
Yes. Upload, drag in, or paste a screenshot or photo. The supported PNG, JPG and WebP image stays in your browser while it is decoded.
Does it support barcodes as well as QR codes?
Yes. The scanner supports common QR, 1D and 2D barcode formats, with a native browser detector when available and bundled ZXing WASM fallback.
Why was my code not found?
Try a sharper crop with the full code visible, then use Rescue Mode. A low-contrast image, glare, blur or a code that is too small can stop any image scanner from reading it.
Is camera access required?
No. Camera permission is optional and requested only after you select Scan with Camera. Image and screenshot scanning work without it.
